chippin away...

So I've been training beyond a level of intensity most would consider lately, and I nver seem to stop.  I'll add that Im writing this before my measurement because I feel leaner and fitter, and pumped.  Here's the measurements

Bicep:  17"
Forearm: 12.3"
Thigh: 26.5"
Stomach (handles): 40.0"
Chest: 46.5"
Waist: 39.0"
Neck:  16.0"
weight:99.9kg (222lbs)

So I've lost a kg, added some size in the chest, and lost a little in the love handles.  Keep chippin' away :)

So its been a while

I havent updated in some time, a lot has happened!
  i got married, went on a honey mon and gainewd some pounds.  Then after training and losing those pounds, I had a stomach issue that resulted in me losing my appendix, the weight has returned and im back at it again!

Recently Ive decided to become a persoal trainer!  In time I will study and hopefully get some regulars and make a little extra dosh!

In time, when I find my measuring tape Ill start posting again!

Still moving, slowly but surely

So I've dropped half a kilo in the last 2 weeks.  Due to a lack of discipline more than anything.  But you gotta keep moving on!

So it's stil coming off all over, just a little slower, gotta strict my routine up a bit, but at least I've still made some progress..

another standstill in weight, but some measurements decreasing..

Had a good week this week, unfortunately I had another big night on Saturday night, which is becoming a weekyl chest night for me..

Thigh: 26.1"
Stomach (handles): 39.4"
Chest: 47"
Waist: 38.3"
Neck:  16.3"
weight: 97.8kg (215lbs)

I'm weighing the same as last week,  although I was as low as 95.6 on Friday, not traiing on the weekend tends to make me store some more fluid, so although my new low this weight was 95.6kg, I've managed to stack 2 kgs on that number on the last 2 days.  Doesnt matter, since my measurements are still slightly smaller, especially around waist and handles (.1"), not bad for the same weight.

Although I lost another kg (2 pounds) my measurements hardly budged! Im happy to be lighter but not so pleased with the measurements. Doesnt matter, I could have lost the weight in other places, and I certainly look leaner than a few weeks ago.  Just gotta keep on truckin'!

Back at training!

I managed a pretty full-on week of martial arts, cardio and weightlifting this week so I'm looking forward to the results.  I look a lot leaner in the mirror so I should have some good measurements:

Bicep:  16.9"
Forearm: 12.75"
Thigh: 26"
Stomach (handles): 39.5"
Chest: 47"
Waist: 38.6"
Neck:  16.3"
weight: 98.6kg (217lbs)

So I lost a kg (2 pounds), a little bit of muscle loss (0.1 of an inch on my biceps) but little over half an inch on both my stomach and waist.  That's a pretty good ratio and Im pretty happy with that.  Even though I'm pleased with the results we had a few big events this week which prevented me losing and probably I even gained a little back, so next week should be a good week since there are not so many events that revolve around eating..

less effort = no results

Although I planned to start training again this week, I hurt my hand and was very limited.  I still managed to a get a bit in though.  Here are my results:

Nothing changed according to above. Although I weighed in at 98kg during the week, I unfortunately had a bit of a binge last night at a friends engagement party. Just a stupid mistake and a bump in the road, I'll smash it out this week and get good results next week. I'll be back at training, back to weightlifting, and CONSTANT strict eating. No excuses.

Another week has gone by, and although I wasn't expecting much progress this week, since I wasn't training (bloody cough) I still had some good progress!

Neck:  16.5"
weight: 99.6kg (219lbs)

So lost a few kg, some fat, some muscle (due to a lack in exercise Im thinking) either way Im happy, If I lose any muscle I never have trouble gaining it back in 3 or 4 weeks with minimal fat gain so I may have to throw a 2 or 3 week cycle in there sometime to gain some back with minimal fat (plenty of cardio, more food - but strict on being quality food). When losing this kind of fat, I'd glady sacrifice I small amount of muscle, would be a different story if I were naturally skinny, but in my case fine.

So recap - 4 weeks in

lost half an inch on the arms - meh
Forearms, chest and thighs have barely moved - good
Lost 2.5 inches around love handle area - awesome
Lost just under 1.5 inches around waist
Lost 8kg (17.6lbs)


 I think since the incehs being lost at my wasit a far higher than inches on my arms, thats a good ratio! Can't wait to get back into training this week and shred even more fat. :)

Happy to see my stomach (love handles) decrease from what started at 42.5 to 40.7, only 3 weeks ago, aswell as my waist, from 40.5 down to 39.5.  Everything seems to be working at a stable healthy pace.  Just gotta keep it up, but if it keeps going like this I think I'll be fine :)

Body Transitioned a bit...

Although my weight itself hasnt moved much, my measurements have:

Neck:  16.3"
weight: 102.0kg (224lbs)

I've gained a little around the arms, neck and thighs, whilst dropping half an inch on my handles and almost as much around my waist. So I've gained abit of muschel and dropped a bit of fat this week, doesn't get much better than that!

Lost 5kg!

Had a massive drop in weight being the first week, I'm guesing mostly fluid however, and the shock a change in lifestyle from doing next to nothing most days to going to work again, walking and training more frequently, and eating healthier:

weight 102.3kg (225lbs)

So I've lost a tiny bit of muscle on the arms, bound to happen on the first week, but lost a little around the belly button and waist, which is where its mostly stored.  Lost 5kg in total! but like I said, would be mostly fluids.  Good start to the whole plan!

About to start....

Ok so these arent really new results, but they are my current measurements, since tomorrow is the beginning of my weightloss routine.  Increased walking, cardio and training in general with decreased carbs and healthier food, with the addition of green tea, chia seeds, and a few supplements - Here are my current measurements, hopefully this time next week they will be looking a little better:

Bicep - from 17.5"
Forearm - from 12.8"
Thigh - from 26"
Stomach (handles): 42.5"
Chest: 47"
Waist -40.5"
Neck - 16.5"
weight 107.4kg (236lbs)

So I have't really gained any muscle in the last week, and went a little overboard in a 'last hoorah' type fashion - not good.  I've put a bit on in the belly and am thinking maybe I relaxed a little too much and am not a big fan of myself for it, but hey it happens.  Next week I should be looking a littl healthier since the first week usually starts off the best especially since training usually drops fluid levels and they initial shock of the transition... . I've never had this much muscle mass, quite awesome, havent had this kind of fat level for at least 6/7 years, which is just appaling, since I'm considered to be somewhat of a fitness 'machine' among those who know me, but time will change it all back around.  We'll see how it goes, and check back in next weekend

My results from my quest to get muscles

Ok, so Im starting a new phase in my exercise routine, I've been working on building muscle the last 2 months and had much success building muscle and gaining a little fat, but I already had a little excess when I began due to a lack of good nutrition and  weightlifting.  My resutls were:

from the 21st nov 2010 until 4 jan 2011

Bicep - from 16.3" to 17.5"
Forearm - from 12.25" to 12.8"
Thigh - from 25" to 26"
Stomach (handles): 40.5" to 41.5" (gotta love christmas)
Chest: 45" to 47"
Waist -39.5" - 40"
Neck - 16.5" no change
and my weight went from 95kg to 106kg (209lbs to 233lbs)




Some good weight gain, a little fat, a decent amount of muscle, but feelign alittle flabby these days. I need my new routine up and running to get back down to the low body fat I had a year ago.  So here's where the results will be recorded!
